Hello Friends!

This is an exciting time here at YWAM MoBay! It’s nearly a month into DTS and the students continue to press in to God as they learn more about Him. Questions have ranged from, "Did Jesus have dreadlocks?" to "Why do we have to pray if God knows what we need?" to ponderings about theological interpretation.

It’s cool to see the desire these young adults have to know God and hear His leading for outreach and beyond. God remains faithful to give us guidance as leaders; to point them to Jesus in times of brokenness and revelation. I am learning to lean on Him, work with Him and enjoy Him. And I am realizing that He is my friend as Jesus tells us in John 15:15.

We’ve gotten through the foundational topics of God’s character, hearing His voice, the fear of the Lord, etc. This week’s teaching is on "freedom and restoration" so we’re praying for breakthroughs especially for those who need to address deep hurts.

Last Friday I got to teach a class on support-raising which I’m following up next week at our other base in Mandeville. We’re piling in a bus on Saturday to head up there, stopping at the beach along the way of course. We’ll be there to help out at the base and work on team-building between classes. I think we’ll all welcome the cooler weather in the hills and the slower inland pace after all the intensity of the past four weeks. I get to set up our times of evangelism in a nearby village.

· Praise God for an awesome DTS and for the growth taking place in all of us!
· Please pray for a safe journey to Mandeville and that we’ll be a help and encouragement to the people there.
· Please also pray for wisdom as we finalize the outreach teams next week.
Here's a picture from one morning when we dressed up like kids and prayed for children in Israel...I tried to post more but only this one's showing up...
